How Haelan
works.

Read about the lessons, optional exercises, and journal, including how these tools fit alongside professional care.

Lessons and
optional exercises.

Read about sound sensitivity, try breathing or meditation, or make a journal entry. Sound tools are a separate, optional part of the app.

Using Haelan does not guarantee that symptoms will improve. The app does not set a recovery timeline or replace an individual clinical assessment.

01

Read a lesson

Learn about sound sensitivity and the tools in the app. Note any questions you want to discuss with your clinician.

02

Choose an activity

Explore breathing exercises, guided meditation, journaling, and sound tools. None of these is a requirement. A tool that helps someone else may not be suitable for you.

03

Keep notes and review activity

Use the journal to record observations and questions. Activity history shows your app use; it is not a clinical measure of improvement.

Before using
sound tools.

Stop if a practice hurts

Stop a practice that causes pain or discomfort. You do not need to finish a session, and you should seek individual clinical advice before continuing.

Check what the evidence applies to

The journal links to sources for its health information. Evidence for a clinical approach does not establish that Haelan treats a condition.

Ask about your symptoms

A qualified clinician can assess your symptoms and advise which activities are suitable. Haelan does not replace that assessment.
